ConstructionLine is a Government-run scheme that collects, assesses and monitors standard company information to ensure we are fit-to-supply.
As a member, our business has been checked by ConstructionLine’s validation team, who looked at a range of aspects of our business from financials, to operational processes like health & safety, along with compliance matters that apply to the work we undertake.
This means buyers can be confident we demonstrate compliance with ConstructionLine’s standard prequalification criteria.
Many of the PDMA team are members of the Institution of Civil Engineers, which is the industry’s senior learned institution. It awards professional qualifications, leads the discussions around infrastructure and the built environment, whilst providing training, knowledge and thought leadership.
It’s important to understand current thinking and see how engineers around the world have resolved specific challenges, which might one day impact one of our projects. You can recognise a professional who takes the industry seriously, by the letters after their name, which will include ICE.
We’re proud to be part of the Mindful Employer initiative, which provides us with easy access to professional workplace mental health training, information and advice to support all the members of our team here at PDMA. Find out more here.
As signatories to the Charter, we recognise that some of our employees are working towards better mental health in their lives and no matter where they are in their journey, we will offer the time and support needed to help them achieve their desired outcome.
The acronym stands for the Rail Industry Suppliers Qualification Scheme, a prestigious supplier organisation that acts as a single resource that pools pre-qualified suppliers for buyers looking to procure items and services for the railway industry.
It helps us sell our services within the railway industry. It provides an open, fair and transparent way for PDMA to demonstrate we are a capable provider, that understands how to mitigate risk for the buyer. It is promoted as a scheme ‘by the industry, for the industry’.
The Temporary Works Forum (TWf) encourages discussion of matters related to our specialism, the temporary works that enable construction projects. This typically involves interfacing between permanent and temporary works, while highlighting current practices and future developments.
Drawing on the collective experience of the group, it is the forum’s responsibility to raise awareness of trends and innovations in design and construction, giving warning to the relevant bodies if future risks are expected.
